DIY Dental Plan Selection
Picking a dental plan need not be difficult. Just pick your company from the list below and follow these steps to find the best plan for your needs.
- Decide if you are looking for a NEW dentist or if you must keep your current dentist. (*If needing to continue with your current dentist, pick your plan then IMMEDIATELY check the network to confirm your dentist accepts the plan, if not, check another plan)
- If choosing a new dentist, choose a dental company from the list below and select the plan of your choice.
- To confirm your plan choice, BE SURE TO REVIEW THE PLAN DETAILS. (Assumptions will lead to disappointments)
- Once you have selected a plan, search the provider list for a dentist in a location convenient to you.
- Contact the selected dentist, confirm they are currently accepting new patients for your plan and set your first appointment.
You should expect to contact several offices. To maintain good services to current patients, it is common to temporarily suspend accepting new patients. Don’t let that discourage you, try the next nearest office. You can always change to your provider when your first choice becomes available. Should this process prove unreasonably time consuming or confusing, simply contact me.
*If you have found a plan you like but your dentist isn’t currently in their network, send your agent a request to have your dentist added to their network. (Note, this process sometimes takes a few months).
